September 2023 - Give yourself an effing break
Not gonna lie. We're on day, what, 7? of September '23 and I'm not a fan. There's another 22 days for the month to redeem itself, though! I've had a bit of a nightmare securing floss for this month's pattern - I was so settled on a palette and refused to budge! The good news is I seem to have it all under control now.
The not so good news is that all this means I don't have a stitched sample to share, BUT I do have this glorious mock-up and I think you're going to love it.

The messaging this month comes from a position of self care. How often we take an inward look and disproportionately lay blame at our own feet when things don't go to plan. If only this, what if I'd that. But we all need to rest, eh. And these reminders from nature - the fact that even the trees and flowers and grizzliest of bears make time to rest - should be taken to heart.
And as we prepare for autumn by spending September in a heatwave - OH THE JOY OF CLIMATE CHANGE (sigh) - here's an autumnal treat to put a smile on your face.
This month's pattern will come with a 6 inch hoop and I'm sending white aida with the regular boxes. Deluxe boxes will get grey as well. There will be a chart with a text adjustment so that those who don't like a swear, or have little eyes around can skip the f-bomb if they wish.
This month's deluxe box treat includes some hand tie dyed aida and some lengths of glow in the dark floss with a mini pattern for spooky season. I'm keeping it a surprise, but I'll be sure to share some pics in the subscriber newsletter at the end of the month, once the boxes have shipped! 🦇
